Adams, Massachusetts - Last Wednesday, the selection committee unanimously approved the town's annual holiday parking enforcement suspension. From Thanksgiving to January 2nd, any place with a parking meter can now park for free. The board voted earlier this month to reinstate the roadside overnight parking ban, which will remain in effect during this period. "The process is the same as usual, we just instruct the police department to enforce controlled parking in these areas," said town administrator Jay Green. "This will give the parking controller a little rest." According to Green, this year's meters will be covered with burlap bags instead of plastic bags as in the past few years. He stated that the town did so at the request of Selectman Joseph Nowak.
